I am so excited to share with you the finished room makeover using a great quality wall mural from Dunelm 💙
This is Tropical Oasis in Sage – they also do this in Mineral! Honestly, both colourways are stunning and I was completely torn, as either would have worked beautifully in the room. In the end, I went with Sage and I’m so happy with the choice!
I had the paint colour mixed at B&Q – it’s called Cuddle Bug. This mural has so many shades of green that you could pick almost any tone and completely change the feel of the room. I chose a minty green to bring out those lighter tones in the mural, and it really helps to brighten the space 💚
This is the finished look – I just need to change the bedding, as the dark green clashes at the moment, and add back the plants, lamps, and chairs that I moved out while decorating.
I was a little worried that the dormer ceilings might make the room feel closed in if we wallpapered all the way up, but honestly it’s had the complete opposite effect. It feels so light and fresh, and the room actually looks more spacious and inviting than before – especially compared to the darker black and green wallpaper we had previously halfway up the walls.
What’s amazing is that I haven’t really changed anything major – just the wall mural and the woodwork paint colour. Everything else has stayed the same, apart from the bedding which I’ll be updating next and I have one in mind from Dunelm that will go perfectly I feel.
