- Chris ‘Pepper Bae’ Fisher has revealed that he will be marrying his sweetheart Krystal at the West Coast Hot Sauce Experience in June 2023, in what will be the first ever LOF wedding at a chilli festival. The wedding will be officiated by the LOF US Ambassador Jif ‘The Fireman’ D’Aguanno.
- Katie ‘Saucy’ Bannister has just announced a sponsorship deal with High Desert Sauce Co.
- Simon ‘Old King Cole’ has set a new League of Fire World Record for Nougat To Be Kidding Me! Challenge by League of Fire. He successfully finished 10, taking the previous WR of 7 from Ryan ‘Today’s Adventure’. Simon has become the first Welsh player to hold a LOF World Record.
- Vic ‘The Collector’ Clinco has been invited to be the Keynote Presenter at the Hot Sauce Summit 8 to be held online on 9 March 2023, along with Katie ‘Saucy’ Bannister who will be Spotlight Presenter.
- Michael ‘Never Better Club’ Morgan and Alexandria ‘Never Better Club’ Morgan went head-to-head to set a new League of Fire World Record for 6 Hot Balls Cheese Ball Challenge by Blazing Foods & Chase The Heat. Alexandria successfully finished 4, taking the previous WR of 3 from Chris ‘Uncle BullCow’ Pantalone. Michael managed 6 and now holds the LOF WR.
- League of Fire has launched 2 new League Tables for Harvest912:
- Aaron ‘Monster Heat’ Jewells has won the Heat Wave Chilli-Eating Competition at the Heat Wave Hot Sauce Expo 2023, in London, Canada.
- League of Fire has announced a new series of collector’s cards – LOF WORLD RECORDS Collector’s Cards. The first player in the collection has been unveiled to be Roger ‘Hot Dang Show’ Trier, who holds LOF WR for 15 V2 LOF Chug Challenges.
- Katie ‘Beyond Seattle Eats’ Prettyman and Annee ‘The Reaper Teacher’ Boyer participated in a joint effort to try to beat Kris ‘The Scoville Unit’ Fragale’s League of Fire World Record of 36 Chug LIFE – The Ginger One Challenge by League of Fire. Katie successfully completed 34 and Annee now has 31 under her belt. Kris’ LOF WR still stands.
- League of Fire has updated their website to show confirmed events for 2023. These will include 39 chilli-eating competitions across the 13 Foodies Festivals in the UK with Sophie Ellis-Bextor performing at 7 of them straight after the League of Fire contests.
- Fire Dragon Chillies has issued a ‘save the date’ notice for the 8th Annual NZ Hot Sauce Festival taking place on 27 May 2023, in Auckland, NZ.
- Annee ‘The Reaper Teacher’ Boyer has started a new Facebook Group for LOF female members called League of Fire~Fierce Fiery Queens. Their first official group event LIVE is set for 4 March 2023 at 8 pm GMT, on League of Fire YouTube and Facebook, where they will be attempting the Nougat To Be Kidding Me! Challenge by League of Fire.
- League of Fire has sent out invitations to players to go into a live draw for a place in the 4th Americas Belt Match. The draw will be held on Monday, 27 February 2023, to determine the final line-up of 8 contestants alongside reigning champion Mike ‘The Molten Moose’ Jack and former champion Jayson ‘Bat Pants’ Hairrell, taking the total to 10, who will be battling it out for the coveted The Red Bird.
- Greg ‘The Inferno’ Foster with his Inferno Farms Hot Sauce Company along with other great producers will be trading at The National Fiery Foods & BBQ Show on 3 – 5 March 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
